- If money's tight, let your buddies know, they might help you out
- Or, if you hate to ask, take it in turns to pay for meals (but remember keep track of the cost so it stays even for both/all of you)
- Set up a meal deal - split the bill evenly, no matter who got most
- Always share taxis - and the cost!
- Go shopping together - you'll find that cute outfit may have been not quite so with some advice! You'll save and can give each other tips if you're tempted to over-spend
- Arrange cheap dates - agree on a maximum cost or expenditure then only take that amount of money out with you
- Make a personal call - it's much more intimate (and way cheaper) to visit loved ones in their homes than going out
- Be spontaneous - go out for free adventures such as a trip to the museum, or window shopping, a picnic, walk in the park or an arts and crafts session, maybe a game of football for the more athletic... the possibilities are endless
